Questions You Might Have ...
My coaching work is a forward-oriented space to support you in your growth and striving! But that can sound vague, so let me break down what that actually means. I like to describe my work using three terms: integration work, embodied reflection, and guided practice.
My Coaching focuses on integration work
You might have done a lot of self-discovery work and feel super self-aware, yet still struggle to act on what you know. You might understand why certain patterns exist, and feel liberated in that awareness, but there may also be a part of you that is striving for more alignment in how you live, relate, or make decisions. My coaching supports you in integrating that awareness into your life, so insight doesn’t stay intellectual but begins to translate into the way you move through the world.
My Coaching offers embodied reflection
Forward-focused doesn't mean we skip your past or your lived experience, we absolutely don't. We will reflect, and honestly most of my clients leave with a newfound awareness of themselves, others, and the systems they're in. But the focus isn't on processing those experiences. It's on embodying the reflections. On understanding how your past is showing up right now, and what you want to do with that.
My Coaching has lots of space for guided practice
This is a loving space for you to actually practice! And I mean that literally. I draw on my psychology background to help you practice what you're striving for in a way that leads to sustainable, regenerative change. Not just insight. Not just awareness. Actually breaking down what you're working on into steps that are doable and that actually resonate with who you are.
I would ofcourse like to be your coach, but before this, my very first priority is that you receive the kind of support you truly need. The distinction below can help you make an informed decision.
A life coach and a coaching psychologist often offer very similar types of support. Both may help clients work through challenges, gain clarity, shift perspectives, and move toward meaningful goals.
The main difference usually lies in the professional background and training.
I am a KCPB licensed and registered psychologist, which means my approach to coaching is informed by formal academic training in psychology. This background allows me to draw on psychological theory, research, and evidence-based perspectives when supporting clients.
Coaching as a field is currently largely unregulated, which means there are many different pathways into becoming a coach. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Many excellent coaches come from diverse backgrounds and bring valuable life experience, training, and insight to their work.
At the same time, my background in psychology shapes how I approach coaching. It allows me to integrate scientific understanding of human behavior, emotions, and relationships into the process while still keeping the work practical and growth-oriented.
There isn’t a fixed set of things that coaching can help with, it really depends on the coaching professional and the client’s needs.
I offer three signature packages designed for specific struggle points and growth directions, but I also create custom packages tailored to a particular challenge or goal, whether it’s personal, interpersonal, or related to your broader impact.

I am especially passionate about emotions, and I’ve developed a decolonial framework for relating to emotions called Emotional Companionship. This theme shows up quite a lot in my work, because I believe that our relationship with our emotions is the most sacred and an important starting point for feeling more secure in ourselves, both internally and relationally.
Some common struggles that people I work with experience are:
Understanding and navigating their emotions
Fear of being seen, fear of failure, or fear of conflict
Repetitive patterns they don’t know how to break
Difficulty being their authentic selves
Challenges with conflict in relationships
Wanting to do more in their impact work but not knowing where to start
Feeling deeply and sometimes overwhelmed by their emotions
People-pleasing and self-sacrificial behaviors
Seeking external validation
In short, coaching with me can touch on anything that falls between these areas.
As I always say, discovery calls are the best way to explore what coaching could look like for you and see how we might work together.
Book your free 45 min call here:
Come as you areee!! (shy, excited, nervous, unsure). I would REALLY LOVE to connect with you!
So this depends on the type of session... I'll do my best to describe this below:
The Free Discovery Call
We check in emotionally and see how we’re both feeling. (By the way, MOST people come in feeling nervous, and I want to reassure you that that is very normal, and you don't have to be super confident for this, you are welcome EXACTLY as you are!)
We start with a fun icebreaker question to get to know each other.
You are welcomed to share: what you’re struggling with and what you’re looking for in both the work and the service provider.
I share: information about the programs I offer and their pricing (I have 4 tiers for this: global north, global south, redistribution and access), my approach, and the lived experiences behind my coaching.
We connect with what resonates and whether this might be the appropriate next step for you.
First Sessions
We map out all the “what ifs”, set intentions for your journey, and outline goals. (My goal-setting technique is not just listing goals, it’s an in-depth, fun approach.)
You share your preferred learning and engagement style; visual, auditory, or experiential (role-play), so we can tailor tools and exercises to you.
We outline the overall journey and create the foundation for what this space will hold.
Regular Sessions
We begin with a gentle heart-to-heart check-in.
A short recap of the last session. Each week, we set two next steps and one “love work” challenge, then review progress.
We focus on the topic of the day, which adapts based on your program or custom package.
Breaks are always included if needed.
Sessions conclude with reflection and next steps.
After Sessions
You receive an email recap of our session, including your next steps.
You receive personalized soul work exercises or journal prompts.
You have access to me via WhatsApp (response time up to 12 hours).
I encourage you to show up exactly as you are, ALWAYS. There are some common experiences that might come up during coaching;like feeling resistance, doubt, or uncertainty, and these aren’t signs that the work isn’t working. They’re part of the process.
My coaching isn’t about an end goal. It’s about helping you curate a lived, ever-developing practice of being around a goal, one that feels supportive, secure, and empowering for you. Goals aren’t destinations; they’re a continuous practice of life.
I encourage you to name what comes up during the session. I know this can feel scary, but your feelings are valuable information that helps guide the process. Here are some awkward things you can ALWAYS say to me in session:
I also encourage you to commit fully to this journey. Coaching is an intensive, intention-led process. Because my work is integration-focused, showing up weekly and on time goes a long way toward helping you reach for what you’re striving for.
That’s it! :)
Here are some very normal things that may happen during the coaching journey:
Resistance toward what we’re working on
Some topics may bring up different feelings or reactions for you, and that’s okay. That information is sacred and valuable. I invite you to name what comes up, because it can guide the process. Sometimes it may ask us to slow down, focus on something else for a while, or take a pause. All of these responses are valid.
In psychology, resistance can actually point to what we might need to integrate.
Frustration that it’s “taking long”
My coaching work is not about a quick fix. Part of the decolonial practice I bring into this work is moving away from seeing growth only as a means to an end. Not everything needs to be results-driven. Capitalist systems often teach us that worth and value are measured through speed and productivity, but this work honors process, presence, and integration.
Not feeling ready for certain topics
Sometimes you may realize that a topic feels too big, too vulnerable, or simply not right to explore at that moment. That’s completely okay. Coaching is a collaborative space, and you always have agency over what you want to explore and when.
Not always feeling energetic about a session
You don’t have to arrive feeling motivated, inspired, or “ready.” You are welcome to show up exactly as you are that day. The space is there to hold whatever state you arrive in.
Taking time to warm up to the flow of things
It can take a few sessions to settle into the rhythm of coaching and into the space we are creating together. This is completely normal. Trust, openness, and clarity often build over time.
